Luiz 83 is the artistic name of Luiz dos Santos Menezes, born in 1983 in the city of S\u00e3o Paulo, he works and lives in this city. Self-taught, his training stems from experience acquired on the streets of the city as a \u201cpichador\u201d activity that offered the beginning of a plastic vocabulary that has been refined from research that the artist develops with a considerable degree of inventiveness in more conventional means such as drawing, painting and sculpture.<\/p>\n

His professional experience as an art exhibition assembler also offers him the opportunity to remain in intimate contact with classic and contemporary works, an opportunity that results in significantly assimilated knowledge.<\/p>\n

In his works it is possible to perceive a very peculiar and, undoubtedly sophisticated, concretism in the formal solutions and in the conceptual and POP-like arrangements, a quality also perceived through a chromaticism that in general favors bright colors of intense luminosity.<\/p>\n

Luiz 83 has already been present in several individual and collective shows, among which stand out the individual \u201cZ\u201d at Tato gallery, Fragmento sem Sentence: Luiz83 \u2013 Casa Galeria and the collective shows \u201cTrends of Street Art at the Brazilian Museum of Sculpture and \u201cPretatitude: insurgencies, emergencies and affirmations in Afro-Brazilian contemporary art\u201d at SESC Ribeir\u00e3o Preto, S\u00e3o Carlos, Vila Mariana and Santos\u201d.<\/p>\n[\/spb_text_block] [spb_blank_spacer height=”60px” width=”1\/1″ el_position=”first last”] [spb_text_block animation=”none” animation_delay=”0″ simplified_controls=”yes” custom_css_percentage=”no” padding_vertical=”0″ padding_horizontal=”0″ margin_vertical=”0″ custom_css=”margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 0px;” border_size=”0″ border_styling_global=”default” width=”1\/1″ el_position=”first last”]\n
