Monique Huerta’s research revolves around fitting objects in their non-binary connectivities and the possibility of sculpture as a living potential for contact. Investigations about passive-aggressiveness and the clash of forces are places thought within the language of installation, sculpture, video art and performance. The creation of a soft and at the same time perverse universe flirts with the playfulness of a dreamlike past that doesn’t seem to belong or fit in, and is simultaneously inhabited by aggressively earthly or sexual wounds.
