Artist’s Talk
Ana Avelar and Magnólia Costa

In a partnership between Alê Espaço de Arte and teachers Ana Avelar and Magnólia Costa, we launched the “Artist’s Talk” course. We want to broaden your worldview, give consistency to your repertoire, help you develop fully.

The course seeks to provide critical guidance aimed at artists who wish to develop the ability to present their own work. Designed and taught by critics Ana Avelar and Magnólia Costa, this combines expository classes, which address concepts and discursive techniques, and meetings aimed at exposing the poetics of each artist and the group’s reception.

Please send the PDF of the portfolio to the email [email protected] immediately after registering for the course.

About Magnólia Costa

Combining rigorous analysis, clear language and informality in dealing with the public, classes and lectures with Magnólia Costa favor the acquisition of knowledge by stimulating global thinking.

Magnólia Costa introduces criticism into the field of art history, that is, it analyzes the work of art in the light of philosophical concepts and the sociocultural context in which it was produced. Her classes open a deeper field of reflection, where the approach to the artistic object favors the formation of synapses and, in this way, a new understanding of history.
