Portfolio elaboration workshop and projects for public notices in visual arts
with Roberta Tassinari
Number of Participants: up to 10
Credit Hours: 15h/a
5 meetings of 3 hours
Target audience: artists, art students and cultural professionals
The objective of the workshop is to prepare portfolios and develop projects for public notices for exhibitions, residencies and art salons.
The elaboration of a portfolio proves to be a fundamental tool for the presentation and circulation of artistic production through public notices for art salons, collective or individual exhibitions, residencies or other selective processes. It is intended to train participants so that they can build a portfolio, whose systematization of the information presented meets the technical requirements for each notice.
Different types of public notices will be analyzed to better understand the specificities of each one. Opportunities to submit projects to public notices will also be presented and where it is possible to find them: websites and social networks.
Projects for individual and collective exhibitions, art salons and artistic residencies require some prerequisites for a better appreciation of the submitted proposal. In order to better understand how to put together a clear and objective proposal, the following topics will be addressed through examples and practical exercises:
- Portfolio of all artistic production;
- Specific portfolio for public notice;
- Complete resume;
- Short curriculum (bio);
- Construction of exhibitions;
- Descriptive memorial;
- Conceptual text;
- Goal;
- Justification;
- Budget spreadsheet;
- Timeline;
- Letters of Consent.
